The India Year
India Year classses and registration information on the Graham School website
Explore the rich history and variety of Indian cultures. In this year, the program will read and discuss core texts of the Hindu and Buddhist traditions, including portions of the Mahabharata and the Bhagavad Gita as well as the story of the Buddha’s life, enlightenment, and teachings. Indian Muslim writings will also be considered, along with samples of extraordinary Indian literature and poetry, from the Ramayana to Bengali poetry. These and other works—everything from Gandhi’s writings to the philosophical underpinnings of yoga—are represented in the India year.
