Arabic Language and Cultures certificate program

Arabic Language and Cultures certificate program

In the United States there is a shortage of people who understand the language and cultures of the Arab world, and yet we can hardly afford to remain ignorant of this strategic region. We believe the first step toward greater knowledge and understanding is through language and culture. The University of Chicago Graham School noncredit certificate in Arabic offers a serious, sustained course of study that is accessible to working adults. Participants learn to understand and speak about practical, everyday topics. To complement the language offerings, there are additional courses devoted to the cultures, history, or religions of the Arab world.

The program is designed for adults with busy schedules. Flexible, affordable, part-time, noncredit, and yet academically rigorous, the Arabic courses at the University of Chicago Graham School are unlike anything else available in Chicago.
